If you are new to Together OT, you might be wondering what it is like to come for a session. Our space, which we affectionately call the Burrow, is tucked into the basement of our building in Wortley Village. It is cozy, flexible, and designed to give us lots of ways to move, play, create, practise skills, and simply feel comfortable.

Finding the Burrow

You will find us at 190 Wortley Road, Suite LL 5. There is free parking around the building, as well as street parking if needed. The easiest way to enter is through the south door of the building and head down the stairs. Once you reach the basement, we are the second door on the left. There is also an elevator accessible from the main-floor hallway that can take you to the basement.

One thing to know before your first visit: the Burrow does not have a separate waiting room, so we ask families to arrive no more than about five minutes before their scheduled session. There are lots of great places to explore along Wortley Road if you arrive early.

A Space to Move and Explore

The Burrow is designed to feel less like a traditional clinic and more like a place where kids can move, explore, and follow their interests.

One of the first things you will notice is our climbing frame, complete with monkey bars, a fabric cocoon swing, and a rope ladder wall. We can also add a hammock depending on what works best for the person using the space.

There is a large collection of gross-motor equipment, including yoga balls, weighted balls, scooter boards, hoops, cones, hopscotch, and skipping ropes. These can be used in all sorts of ways depending on each client's goals and interests.

Space for Creating and Connecting

For seated activities, we have a long table where we can work on crafts, printing, and other fine-motor activities. There is also a growing collection of tabletop games, because games are a great way to work on skills while having fun and connecting with someone else.

The Burrow also has a small seating area with a loveseat and armchair where parents are welcome to relax during their child's session. Of course, you do not have to stay. Wortley Village has lots of lovely shops, cafes, and even a public library to explore while your child is with us.

Cooking and Life Skills

We have a small kitchenette with a fridge, convection oven, and sink. It comes in particularly handy for our cooking and life-skills groups.

A Flexible Movement Space

At the back of the Burrow is an open space dedicated to movement. This area includes a vibration plate, Nugget fort, crash pad, and softer lighting options, including LED string lights and a light projector. Having the ability to adjust the environment helps us create a space that can feel energizing when someone needs movement or calming when they need a quieter experience.

A Few Practical Details

The washroom is located in the hallway. Access codes are posted just inside the Burrow door, and we are always happy to help if you need assistance finding or using the space.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Burrow!
